Castletown: A shoppers delight

Don’t forget to visit all the fantastic little businesses while you are visiting Castletown!

Pick up some peri peri chicken down at Victoria Grill or wood-fired pizza at The Secret Pizza Co, good old fashioned pub grub at The George and the Garrison, authentic noodles at the Time Out Noodle Bar or a bit of American style dining at Mustang Sally’s.

If you’re looking for sweet treats you can pick up a selection of pastries and chocolate slab cakes all the way from Italy down at Italian Kitchen, who also have a fab range of Christmas panettone and other treats too, or head a little further down the street to the Cupcakery where you will find tempting cakes of all varieties – check out the cakes in a jar!

Stop by Louis Barber’s if you need a little pampering or, if you’re doing some Christmas shopping and looking for unusual Manx gifts pop into the Gaslight Gift Shop or Chree Brae.

Find all your household items at Jak’s and Something Different, where you can also pick up a selection of children’s toys – especially the light up toys for the Christmas lights switch on tonight!

Head to Radcliffe’s the butchers for your weekly meat shop, and Castle Deli, Costa or Coffeecraft for a spot of lunch and a cuppa, or if you fancy a spot of finer dining you can visit Tuscany or Leonardo’s for some wonderful Italian cooking!

With a pharmacy, a co-op, a shoprite, a pet shop and of course the amazing backdrop of Castle Rushen – which will be open for their Snow Queen event today – there are so many places to shop.

Visit the stalls in the Town Hall and Barracks Square; explore the nooks and crannies of the little shops in Arbory and Malew Streets; find an array of international cuisines for lunch and dinner and take the kids on a journey around Balley Cashtal Beg too and see if you can find the fairy doors of the Little People – all with 2 hours of free parking all around the town plus an outdoor seating area with artificial grass and table football to play on too.

Tonight there will be songs around the Christmas tree in Market Square from 430pm with Castletown Metropolitan Band followed by the Christmas Lights Switch on and Father Christmas will be in the town hall, with many businesses open until late!
