Perfect location, perfect cottage!

My husband and I spent three days at Roy Cottage in January visiting friends in the area. The cottage is a perfect bolthole, warm and cosy, very well equipped and spotless. The shower was great, and the king size bed very comfortable. We also appreciated the free wi-fi! What sets Roy Cottage apart are the panoramic sea views - every window faces the sea, and the morning sunrise is especially beautiful. The cottage is filled with shafts of light throughout the day, especially welcome in the middle of winter! The cottage is a very short stroll from the centre of Castletown, with it's beautiful quay and historic centre. There is parking right outside the cottage and a parking permit is provided. The owner Julie was really helpful when we booked, and I appreciated being able to talk to her directly about the cottage and the booking. We were greeted by the local manager for the property who explained how everything worked, and gave us her contact number in case of any query - a nice touch. We enjoyed lunch at Leonardo's in the town, and a well kept beer at the Gluepot every evening. The town has two small supermarkets so self catering is easy too. We love the Isle of Man, and have visited many times - Roy Cottage is the best place we have stayed and we would book again without hesitation.
