Discover Manx heritage at the Isle of Man Museums and Sites of Historic importance.

The ‘Story of Mann’ by Manx National Heritage begins at the Manx Museum which is the Isle of Man’s National Museum, and unfolds throughout many historic sites and museums throughout the island. Here we have listed some of the highlights of Isle of Man Heritage.

Find out about the history of the Celts and Vikings at the House of Manannan in Peel, learn about the connection the island has with the sea at the Isle of Man Nautical Museum, or walk through a medieval castle in Castletown, once the home of the Kings and Lords of Man.

For those interested in how people really lived on the island, travel down to Isle of Man Folk Museum and visit the village locked in time where the people live in thatched cottages and speak the native Manx language or experience Grove House in Ramsey, the Victorian home frozen in time.
